Ian at a swim party and Liam at school yesterday. I have to give them a kiss when they get home from school today. I actually miss them while they're at school. Sad, but true. My sister that calls me Negative Nancy told me to get a job!!

Do You Believe in Soul Mates??

I'm not really sure I believe everyone has a soul mate, but I can honestly say each and every day that I believe I have found mine. Brent said he knew we would always be a part of each other's lives when he was 14 years old. We've known each other basically since I was 9 and he was 10. He lived two doors down from my best friend and over the years we became best friends, leading up to dating and marrying when, now that I look back, we were still just babies. 21 - I mean how many people these days think that is an acceptable age to marry? I know I certainly do not and I do not want my boys to even think about getting married that young. I told him he'd know when he was in love. To actually think of my children falling in love and getting married makes me want to throw up in my mouth! They are so sweet and innocent and to think that a girl could disillusion them so much, well, it's just too much to handle. I can only hope they find their soul mates in the walk of life and like I tell them every day "love with an open heart." Brent and I talk about how we really do believe we're soul mates, the yen and yang for each other, and I really pray my children find that kind of love.

First Question: WTF?

Basically, that's the question I must say to myself five hundred times a day. Without my morning coffee, it only goes downhill from there. As I sit at my table and tap until DH brings me my coffee, my po' little eyes have not even thought of opening yet. I feel like a baby waiting to suckle his morning bottle with eyes closed, enjoying every single second as the warm liquid glides down. OK, on with that. As you can see I have two rambunctious little boys (11 & 7) who keep us both bizzeeee!!! I love them sooo much but I hate every minute of the business -- I HATE having to talk to people I cannot stand and unlike most moms who love the interaction, I despise it. PTA, soccer, school, dirt biking = biz-e-ness. I'm very content just doing my thing and staying out of Harper Valley PTA. It's bad around here. You might think it's bad where you live, honey, you AIN'T seen nothing yet. Oh yeah, by the way, I do not use slang unless I'm adding them for effect so please bear with me here. My sister calls me "Negative Nancy" which I didn't understand for the longest, but now I think I'm coming around. Grew up right here in southeast Texas, married here and had my children here. Yeah, I know, world traveler. We have been together for 24 years and married for 17 and we're only 38! Needless to say, he's my yen to his yang and we've known for a long time we're all we ever needed. Now, remember tomorrow when things seem to be going awry and you're wondering to yourself "WTF???" that it's perfectly normal, at least for the days when your medication needs to be regulated! Ciao.
